OUR STORY
In the spring of 2015, a Nigerian non-profit, Gabasawa Women and Children Empowerment Initiative, introduced a small group of people in Colorado to the horrors of terrorism in northeastern Nigeria. The immediacy of these Nigerians' situation was so compelling that Voices4Nigeria was established as a fundraising arm for Gabasawa.
We are dedicated to responding to the needs of Nigeria's displaced, victimized, and marginalized in coordination with Gabasawa. We aim to:

raise awareness of the ongoing conflict, crisis, and displacement of millions in Nigeria.

assess the needs of the suffering and marginalized.

develop a focused humanitarian response strategy on economic empowerment opportunities and relief aid for victims of Nigeria's violent conflict.
OUR PARTNERS
The New Horizons Foundation (NHF) is Voices4Nigeria's fiduciary partner. It was founded in 1989 and is a nonprofit, tax-exempt, public charity, organized and operating under the laws of Colorado to help individuals accomplish their charitable objectives in religious, educational, scientific, benevolent and health-related activities. Though much of the money contributed to the Foundation each year is given to support existing charitable organizations, the Foundation is not directly controlled or affiliated with any specific organization.
Gabasawa Women & Children Empowerment Initiative (GWCI) is dedicated to bringing marginalized families into the mainstream society. Founded in 1999 by Mrs. Doris Yaro, a compassionate mother and change agent, GWCI's programs focus on care for the orphans, children in difficult circumstances, victims of terrorism and humanitarian works. GWCI provides care, education, shelter, medical care and food to the poorest of the poor, primarily women and children in six geopolitical zones in Nigeria.
Over the past 27 years, New Horizons Foundation has sponsored hundreds of projects in over 60 countries. Voices4Nigeria stands out as shining example of one of the most heartfelt projects we have ever been honored to support.
